22/02/2022, Southampton, UK: Mortgage Decisions is building on its epic fundraising challenges of 2021 and entering a team for the Southampton Half Marathon to raise even more money for Mountbatten Hampshire.
The Southampton-based mortgage and financial services provider will kick off its 2022 fundraising campaign for the organisation’s adopted charity, Mountbatten Hampshire, with a team entry to the popular Southampton Half Marathon on 24th April.
Stephanie Phillips-James, Simon Aston, David Doherty and Gregg Lewis are all training hard for the big run and the team is already well on its way to achieving an ambitious fundraising target of £5,000.
‘We’re delighted to be starting a fresh campaign for Mountbatten Hampshire,’ commented Alain Amos, Managing Director of Mortgage Decisions. ‘Last year we were proud to have raised over £3,000 for this remarkable charity that helps so many people who are approaching the end of their lives with dignity and superb care. We’re very much looking forward to reaching our fundraising target in 2022 and helping to ensure Mountbatten Hampshire can continue its amazing work.’
The epic efforts by the Mortgage Decisions’ team come during a big year for the charity, as Michelle Wheeler, Corporate Fundraiser for Mountbatten Hampshire, revealed:
‘Mountbatten Hampshire, formerly Countess Mountbatten Hospice, is celebrating 45 years this year and has provided end-of-life care since it opened in 1977. Today, Mountbatten Hampshire is run as an independent charity, supported largely by the local communities we serve across Southampton and west Hampshire.
